|IWCADV offers group programs to kids and women. |
IWCADV offers a kids group every school term. Kids Group provides a fun and relaxed atmosphere and gives children an opportunity to meet with others who have had similar experiences and engage in some enjoyable activities. Children can: learn that they are not responsible for domestic violence; develop new ways of resolving conflict; learn to express their feelings in ways that are respectful to themselves and others and much more.
The topics that Kids Group covers are:
- What is domestic violence?
- Recognising feelings and expressing feelings in OK ways
- Being assertive
- Problem solving
- Better ways of expressing anger
If you are interested in your child attending Kids Group then contact us to see when the next group is being run.
