Kids Group
IWCADV offers a kids group every school term. Kids Group provides a fun and relaxed atmosphere and gives children an opportunity to meet with others who have had similar experiences and engage in some enjoyable activities. Children can: learn that they are not responsible for domestic violence; develop new ways of resolving conflict; learn to express their feelings in ways that are respectful to themselves and others and much more.

The topics that Kids Group covers are:
  • What is domestic violence?
  • Recognising feelings and expressing feelings in OK ways
  • Self-esteem
  • Being assertive
  • Families
  • Problem solving
  • Communication
  • Better ways of expressing anger
  • Safety
